COVID Communication- 14th August, 2021

Families

The NSW government has declared that all of regional NSW will go into lock down as of 5pm TODAY Saturday 14th August, 2021, for 7 days.

As per the NSW Department of Education guidelines, from Monday, the Deniliquin Children’s Centre services will

· Be open for those who need it for essential work purposes only (where work cannot be done from home)

· Masks will be required indoors and outdoors for everyone in in early childhood education and care settings.

· No visitors will be allowed in the service, and only contact free deliveries will be permitted. All incursions are postponed.

We are anticipating that most families will be working from home and will therefore not require our services.

Please communicate with us if you will be keeping your child at home.

To do this mark your child absent in the Xplor home app or let us know in a text message to the service mobile phone.

By notifying us you will assist us with staffing and allow us to reduce the spread of transmission by limiting movement of people within our DCC and local community.

We understand that this is a stressful time. You can find a list of resources for parents at https://www.service.nsw.gov.au/covid-19/mental-wellbeing-resources .

This week we will also be sharing more resources for parents and children via Xplor, Storypark, our Facebook page and the website https://www.denichildrenscentre.com.au/ .

Admin staff will be available to help you via the phone and email, but the office and Toy Library will be closed to the public.

Stay at home restrictions mean that people may only leave their home for one of the following reasonable excuses (see https://www.health.nsw.gov.au/Infectious/covid-19/Pages/public-health-orders.aspx#stay-at-home)
