Due to ongoing concerns about community transmission, stay-at-home orders in place for regional NSW have been extended until at least 12.01am on 28 August, in line with existing orders for the Greater Sydney area.

Deniliquin Children’s Centre services including the Preschool, the Childcare Centre and the Mobile preschool and childcare service remain OPEN for those families who require them.

Resources- In these uncertain times, these resources might be useful

· University of Queensland has released a useful podcast called Parenting in a Pandemic- which is available through all podcasting apps.

· Maggie Dent also has a podcast series called Parental as Anything. It’s not just about the pandemic- but it’s one that I love.

· ABC kids https://www.abc.net.au/abckids/ not only has shows that you can watch and music to listen to it also has a “Make” section- which has recipe ideas, colouring sheets and craft activities

· For preschoolers https://funlearningforkids.com/science-activities-kids/ has lots of cool and easy science activities for kids.

Also- be kind to yourself and remember that

for most children household objects like cardboard boxes, kitchen utensils to make music, sheets and towels to make a cubby or fort, and lots dancing, jumping and running outside are always favorites.

Stay safe and take care of yourself and those around you.
